This page contains order-of-magnitude estimates of the sizes of data that Mensurae's tools are expected to generate or consume.
These expected sizes would inform the selection of data structures and implementation techniques in the toolkit.
To be on the safe side, and to allow for long measurement runs, we should plan for O(230) bytes (i.e., a gibibyte) of data per measurement run. Most measurement runs should however require much less than this.
About O(236) bytes (i.e., about 64 gibibytes). This would be size of the graph database with data from multiple measurement runs, along with any user-specified annotations to this data.
